Current CCNP Security Exams

CCNP Security certification program is aligned specifically to the job role of the Cisco Network Security Engineer responsible for Security in Routers, Switches, Networking devices and appliances, as well as choosing, deploying, supporting and troubleshooting Firewalls, VPNS, and IDS/IPS solutions for their networking environments.

To earn current CCNP Security certification, you need to pass the following 4 exams. 

300-208 SISAS Implementing Cisco Secure Access Solutions (SISAS)

300-208 SISAS exam validates a network security engineer knowledge of the components and architecture of secure access by utilizing 802.1X and Cisco TrustSec, including the Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE) architecture, solution, and components as an overall network threat mitigation and endpoint control solution.

300-206 SENSS Implementing Cisco Edge Network Security Solutions (SENSS)

300-206 SENSS exam validates the knowledge of a network security engineer to configure and implement security on Cisco network perimeter edge devices such as a Cisco switch, Cisco router, or Cisco ASA firewall.  

300-209 SIMOS Implementing Cisco Secure Mobility Solutions (SIMOS)

300-209 SIMOS exam tests a network security engineer on the variety of virtual private network (VPN) solutions that Cisco has available on the Cisco ASA firewall and Cisco IOS Software platforms. 

300-210 SITCS Implementing Cisco Threat Control Solutions (SITCS)

300-210 SITCS exam tests a network security engineer on advanced firewall architecture and configuration with the Cisco next-generation firewall, utilizing access and identity policies.

New CCNP Security Exams

The new CCNP Security certification program prepares you for today’s professional-level job roles in security technologies. CCNP Security now includes automation and programmability to help you scale your security infrastructure. The new CCNP Security exams will be available on February 24, 2020. 

To earn new CCNP Security certification, you need to pass the following 2 exams. 

Core exam: 300-701 SCOR Implementing and Operating Cisco Security Core Technologies (SCOR)

Concentration exams (choose ONE of the following exams)

300-710 SNCF Securing Networks with Cisco Firepower Next Generation Firewall (SSNGFW)  Securing Networks with Cisco Firepower Next-Generation IPS (SSFIPS)

300-715 SISE Implementing and Configuring Cisco Identity Services Engine (SISE)

300-720 SESA Securing Email with Cisco Email Security Appliance (SESA)

300-725 SWSA Securing the Web with Cisco Web Security Appliance (SWSA)

300-730 SVPN Implementing Secure Solutions with Virtual Private Networks (SVPN)

300-735 SAUTO Implementing Automation for Cisco Security Solutions (SAUI)
